Looking out to sea from Mavisehir beaches the Greek islands that you can see are Agathonissi and Farmako (Phamakonisi). In Roman times Julius Ceaser was held captured on the island of Farmako by kidnappers for 34 days.
On a good day you can see the islands of Samos to the north and to the west are Lipsi, Arki and Patmos, all part of the Leros group of islands
There are a few Restaurant Cafe's in Mavisehir thad have friendly staff. Situated on the water front in peaceful Mavisehir, ideal to enjoy the fabulous sunsets over the Greek Islands.
There are a few medium sized markets in Mavisehir and several fish stalls, market shops and a green-grocer. Take a trip on the Dolmus from Altinkum, through Didim to Mavisehir in the evening. There's plenty to do with a late night market (check which nights) and restuarants that over look the sea. The sunsets are superb and worth the 15 minute dolumus ride from Altinkum.
Situated in a small bay just outside of Didim
